Yiannis Sarantitis, Chairman & CEO  

Υiannis is the founder, Chairman & CEO of SARMED Logistics and the shareholder & board member of SARMED Warehouses. He has held various managerial positions and was a member of the Board of companies, such as inter alia, operating in the field of logistics. He is a member of the Logistics Development & Competitiveness Council of the Ministry of Development & Investment, Ministry of Infrastructure & Transport. He is active in a number of investment projects either as an angel investor or as investor and manager, namely in the fields of financial services, information technology, food services, real estate, energy, medical technology. He holds a Law Degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MBA from the Hellenic Society of Business Administration (EEDE). He speaks English.

Petros Tegopoulos, Chief Financial Officer & Deputy CEO

Petros is a Member of the Board of Directors. He joined SARMED’s team in 2018. He has experience in similar positions for at least 22 years in companies such as PQH, PwC and other companies in the financial field. He completed his studies in Finance at the American College of Greece and holds an MSc in Corporate Finance from ALBA Business School. In addition, he has received certification in International Accounting Standards (IFRS Diploma) from the AIA Institute and is fluent in English.

Dimitris Karagiannis, Chief Operating Officer

Dimitris is a Member of the Board of Directors. He joined SARMED’s team in 2012. He has experience in managing positions in logistics operations for at least 22 years, in companies such as DIA Spain and Carrefour. He completed his studies in Economics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds an Executive MBA from the University of Sheffield. He speaks English and Spanish.

Cathy Christidou, Advisor to the BoD

Cathy delivers advice to the BoD in the fields of strategic development, human resources management and development, sustainability and corporate communication. She is the Vice Chairman and CEO of the business consulting firm BPM SA. She has led, managed, implemented, monitored and evaluated numerous projects for enterprises and organizations of the private and public sectors in Greece and the European Commission. She is the Vice Chairman of SESMA (Hellenic Association of Management Consulting Firms). Cathy holds a degree in Operational Research and Marketing and an MBA from the Athens University of Economics & Business. She speaks English and French.

Leonidas Panagopoulos, Legal Counsel

Leonidas is leading SARMED’s legal team since 2003. He is a Lawyer in Piraeus (ID No. 2851) and he has been a member of “SARANTITIS LAW FIRM” since 1999. He completed his studies at the Law School of the Kapodistrian University of Athens. He speaks English.

George Fardis, Commercial Director

George joined SARMED’s team in 1999. He has experience in all sectors of the Supply Chain after successfully working for more than 20 years as a Warehouse Manager, Deputy Logistics Manager and Distribution Manager at SARMED. He has received certifications from the ELA EJLog (European Logistics Association) in Business Principles, Core Management Skills and Warehousing Management, while he has completed studies in Digitalized Accounting. He speaks English. He is a member of the Hellenic Logistics Company (EEL), the Hellenic Institute of Logistics Management (ILME), the Association of International Freight Forwarders & Logistics Enterprises of Greece (IFFAG&L), as well as the Hellenic Cold Storage & Logistics Association.

Marianthi Ntionia, Operations Director

Marianthi joined SARMED’s team in 2018. She has experience in sales and coordinating operation procedures for at least 25 years in companies such as NEOSET, BERLONI, IKEA and PUBLIC. She completed her Business Administration studies at Wigan & Leigh College and holds a MBA degree in Marketing from the Kurt Bösch University Institute. Currently, she is pursuing her studies in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the American College of Greece (Deree). Furthermore, she has obtained the ‘Project Management’ certification from EEDE (Hellenic management association), certifications from Richardson Sales Performance such as ‘Developmental Sales Coaching’ and ‘Consultative Selling Skills and Exceeding Customer Expectations’, certification from Deree in ‘Business English’ and speaks English (Proficiency level).

Panagiotis Samitas, Transport Director

Panagiotis joined SARMED’s team in 2014. He has experience in similar positions for at least 20 years in companies such as GOODY’S and DIA HELLAS. He completed his studies at the Department of Electronic Telecommunications and Network Applications at the University of Patras. He speaks English.

Antonis Danopoulos, IT Director

Antonis is responsible for the information systems, infrastructure, security systems, as well as for the telecommunications needs of the company. He joined SARMED’s team in 2018. He has experience in the field of information technology for at least 20 years in companies such as Singular Logic, Intrasoft International, ACS Courier, Speedex Courier. He completed his studies at the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Piraeus specializing in Electrical Engineering and holds a MSc Degree in Computer Science from the University of Wales, Swansea.

Dr.Dimitris Theodorou, Quality Manager

Dimitris is responsible for the development, establishment, improvement and inspection of corporate policies and procedures related to standards applied in the company. He joined SARMED’s team in 2016. He has worked as a Quality Systems Consultant – certification and accreditation- implementing projects in more than 70 companies and organizations. He is a Chemical Engineer (National Technical University of Athens – NTUA), holds a PhD degree (NTUA), a Master’s Degree in Bioreactor Systems (UMIST-UK) and a Master in Business Administration – MBA (Athens University of Economics and Business). In addition, he has obtained a MicroMasters certificate in Supply Chain Management from MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics. He has published articles in reputable scientific and technical journals and holds Auditor / Lead Auditor certifications for ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 22000 standards. He speaks English fluently. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), a member of the Scientific Committee of TEE for “Quality Infrastructure”, a member of the Greek Association of Chemical Engineers. He is also a registered lecturer-trainer of EFET (National Food Inspection Authority), EKDAA (National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government) and LAEK-OAED (Manpower Employment Organization).

Vassiliki Zoulomitaki, HR Manager

Vassiliki is responsible for the implementation, coordination and supervision of human resources administration and development. She joined SARMED’s team in 2019. She has experience in Human Resources Management for at least 13 years in companies such as Nea Odos, Manpower and Katselis Bakery SA. She completed Sociology studies at Panteion University of Social & Political Sciences and holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from the Athens University of Economics and Business. Furthermore, she is a postgraduate student of the Executive MBA of the Athens University of Economics and Business. She speaks English, French and Spanish and is a member of the Greek People Management Association (GPMA).

Alexis Karageorgis, Warehouse Unit Manager

Alexis is responsible for supervising and coordinating work groups, thus ensuring the smooth operation and implementation of procedures in a unit of warehouses of the company. He joined SARMED’s team in 2000. He has experience in warehouse management and supply chain operations for at least 20 years. Through his professional development at SARMED and the positions he has taken on, he contributes daily with immediate response to the needs of various projects. In addition, he has received the professional certification of a Logistics executive, ELA EJLog from ILME and speaks English.

Kyriakos Soukaras, Head of Accounting

Kyriakos is responsible for the accounting and tax compliance of the company. He joined SARMED’s team in 2019. He has experience as head of accounting for at least 15 years in industrial companies, such as NEOCHIMIKI SA and HELLENIC FERTILIZERS & CHEMICALS ELFE S.A, as well as a tax consultant / auditor in auditing companies, such as ERNST & YOUNG Greece. He completed his studies at the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Piraeus, Faculty of Management and Economics, Department of Accounting & Finance. In addition, he has received a tax certification from the Athens University of Economics and Business and speaks English. He is licensed as a Class A Tax Accountant by the Economic Chamber of Greece.
