This standard outlines the principles and requirements for quantifying and reporting GHG emissions and removals at the organizational level and ensures compliance with the provisions of the <strong>National<\/strong> <strong>Climate Law<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The verification process covered all <strong>direct (Scope 1)<\/strong> and <strong>indirect (Scope 2)<\/strong> emissions of the company, as well as other <strong>indirect emissions from value chain partners<\/strong> (e.g. transport providers). Compared to the previous year, there was a reduction both in absolute total emissions and in emissions intensity. Notably, <strong>Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions decreased by approximately 12%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The verification was conducted by <strong>T\u00dcV Austria Hellas<\/strong>, an organization accredited under <strong>ISO 14065<\/strong>, ensuring the reliability and credibility of the verification results.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, SARMED successfully completed the <strong>annual surveillance audits<\/strong> of its <strong>Environmental Management System<\/strong> and <strong>Energy Management System<\/strong>, in accordance with international standards <strong>ISO 14001<\/strong> and <strong>ISO 50001<\/strong>, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>It is also worth noting that the company consistently implements targeted actions to minimize its environmental footprint, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use of electricity generated by <strong>installed photovoltaic systems via net metering<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>Procurement and use of <strong>energy-efficient mechanical equipment<\/strong>, and<\/li>\n<li><strong>Awareness and training of personnel<\/strong> on energy-saving practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With consistency and transparency, SARMED continues to invest in initiatives that promote sustainability and reduce its environmental impact.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;June 2025 | New collaboration with KOUKAKIS FARM&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;]SARMED is pleased to announce its new collaboration with Koukakis Farm for the storage of its goods at SARMED\u2019s state-of-the-art facilities in Sindos, Thessaloniki, as well as their distribution.<\/p>\n<p>Koukakis Farm is one of Greece\u2019s leading dairy producers, renowned for its commitment to quality.
